What does it mean?
I chose a Japanese name because I want to bring a Japanese work ethic to every product I make. Every job is important; no work is trivial. By taking great pride in the things I make, no detail can be less than impeccable.
Datsu means ‘darts’, an analogy for a life well lived. Everyday we take shots at a dartboard without knowing where they’ll land.
Whether we decide to master the making of a soufflé, putting our hand up for something challenging at work, or finally ask someone out, we just never know what will happen until we throw the dart.
More often than not, we will miss. But we can always try again, until our dart meets the bullseye.
